Supporting Educational Activities in Soka City
- Delivering Dreams to Children Through Gymnastics -
KONAMI is supporting regional educational activities in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture, where the training facility for the KONAMI Gymnastics Team is located.
Through world-class instruction and presentations, KONAMI Gymnastics Team staff and team members are teaching local children the fun and joy of exercise, and the joy of striving for their dreams.
Instruction at Soka City Elementary School by KONAMI Gymnastics Team Coach Hirata
On February 8, 2011, Noritoshi Hirata, who is in charge of selecting athletes for the KONAMI Gymnastics Team(*1), attended the Physical Strength Improvement Workshop(*2) held at Soka City's Takasago Elementary School as a guest teacher to provide instruction in gymnastics at an open class.
The Physical Strength Improvement Workshop has been held as a forum for announcing the results of gymnastics instruction since December 2010(*3), contributing not only to the enhanced exercise capabilities of the children who participate, but also to improvements in the methods of instruction used by teaching staff.

(*2) Physical Strength Improvement Workshop (Soka City's Takasago Elementary School)
This workshop was held as the result of ongoing research by Soka City's Takasago Elementary School and its teaching staff, appointed to research "physical strength improvement" by the 2009/2010 Saitama Prefecture Board of Education together with the 2010/2011 Soka City Board of Education.

Presentation and Gymnastics Lessons Held at KONAMI's Soka Gymnasium
The KONAMI Gymnastics Team held a presentation and gymnastics lessons for elementary school students at KONAMI's Soka Gymnasium on February 20, 2011 under the supervision of KONAMI Gymnastics Team coach, Hiroyuki Kato(*4), along with other coaches and team members.
Elementary school students and their guardians living around KONAMI's Soka Gymnasium were invited to the presentation and gymnastics lessons, which have been held since 2010 in order to promote and develop gymnastics. The attractiveness of gymnastics was conveyed to local residents through actual presentations and accurate instruction of KONAMI Gymnastics Team members who compete in both the Olympics and world championships.
